I was struggling to come up with a business name, and Empowerment Coaching just struck me. I thought it was perfect for what it is I do - giving people their power back. We are each in control of our own lives, and everything we have is as a result of a choice we have made and continue to make.
Remember your WHY... why are you in business? Who are you serving? What is the reason for your business? (freedom? helping a specific group of people? etc)
WRITE IT DOWN! What needs to be done, focus only on the top 3 things, and if these are completed by the end of the day, you're on to a winner. If they are completed earlier, add another item to the list. Too many to-dos can be overwhelming. I keep a master list separate to my to-do list.
Get out of the house - meet friends for coffee, lunch, go for walks, work in a cafe for an afternoon for a change of environment.
"The best time to plant a tree was twenty years ago, the second best time is now"
I'm currently launching, so I'll get back to you on that!
Believing that everyone else has their sh*t together... we're all just winging it!
I would love to know!
"This is what I'm made of" by Nause, which featured on an ad for Volvo in 2016. I find the words very empowering! "You can try but never stop me... this is what I'm made of"
The freedom of choosing my own clients, doing work that I love, in my own time.
I worked in corporate for around 15 years, mostly in market research in the FMCG industry... leading teams, managing large accounts, analysing data. I lived and worked in USA, London, Germany, and Australia (as well as Dublin), and have travelled independently all over the world. I also spent some time working in schools before getting into corporate.
To help people gain the clarity to know what they want, and empower them with the courage to go after it.
My values... I am continuously working on improving myself to always be the best version of myself, understand myself better, so that I can bring my best to clients. Connection is also really important to me and something that comes naturally; I absolutely love meeting new people and really connecting with them.
I'd love to get more involved in charities which support homelessness, ageing, and also Alzheimer's.
Understand yourself and why you want to help the people. Find a reputable training association and keep on developing!
I attended various talk shows (Jenny Jones, Ricki Lake, Jerry Springer)... in the audience.
I've been to all 7 continents.
I worked for a summer in Montauk, Long Island, scooping ice cream in Ben and Jerry's
A nice holiday... an all inclusive somewhere in the sun
